The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of frights and fights."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription alone. However, this batch of games are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
