The families of young people unaccounted for after a deadly inferno at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating wait for answers and pleading for clues about their loved ones via social media.

The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated footage depict the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. Officials said on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the final individuals.

In the meantime, loved ones have been using online platforms to appeal for clues about their loved ones who were at the bar that evening.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The Italian Golf Federation has released a tribute that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the tragedy, honoring a "talented young man who embodied dedication and true sportsmanship."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and ended up at the bar.
